Meet Chanelle & Ryan ✨ I had the absolute joy of capturing their wedding recently, and wow – two of the sweetest, kindest souls you could ever hope to meet. Their day was filled with so much love, laughter, and the most beautiful moments. What an honour to be a part of it all!
I was also lucky enough to do Chanelle’s and her bridesmaids’ makeup, so I got to hang with them all in the morning beforehand, so fun, watching and witnessing the excitement of hanging with your besties and about to embark on a new and very exciting adventure. Chanelle & Ryan went on their first date at the age of 15 🥺. What a joy to capture the beginning of their forever ❤️

words from Chanelle ….
1/ Why did you choose your venue?
Bangor Farm was actually the first venue we visited and we fell in love with the outdoor ceremony location instantly! We ended up booking our wedding in that same day because we knew we had found the one.
2/ What was your favorite part of the day?
Picking just one is almost impossible so here’s a couple of my favourites! Getting ready with my bridesmaid was such a special experience to share together and enjoying the build up to the day. Tracey was also our makeup artist and made the morning even more special.
Secondly the moment we read our vows was also extremely special. Despite sharing them in front of all of our friends and family, it truly felt like just the two of us in that moment.
3/ What was the easiest part of one of your vendors, building up to and on the actual day too?
Of course our photographer Tracey was absolutely amazing! Everything went so incredibly perfect with her help. She is extremely talented and makes the whole process stress free! Having her there on the day to touch up my makeup too was such a treat.
4/ Where did you guys meet and how long have you been together (how he proposed etc, anything like that would be great).
We were actually on the same school bus to intermediate but didn’t go on our first date until several years later when we both just 15! We have just recently celebrated 9 years together.
Ryan proposed on a special weekend away in Queenstown. We drove up to Skippers Peak which is on the road up to the Coronet Peak ski field. Ryan popped the question with a perfect view of the Remarkables behind us!
We celebrated right after on the balcony of our hotel looking out to Lake Wakatipu and drinking a bottle of Moet.
5/ What advice would you give to people planning their wedding.
Even though the most exciting part is of course your wedding day itself, try to make the most of every part of the planning. Before you know it your special day will be upon you and you’ll be wishing you could be planning it all over again. I know I wish it myself all the time!
love notes ….
“We fell in love with Tracey’s photography the moment we saw her Instagram! She is so incredibly talented and we will cherish the photos forever. She is extremely knowledgeable on everything in the wedding industry and helped us in so many way during such an overwhelming time! We were also lucky enough to have Tracey as the makeup artist for our wedding. The makeup was everything I could have wished for and more.
