1/ Why did you choose your venue?

We wanted a venue that was a ‘one stop shop’ and Larcomb Vineyards had it all! Not only was the venue beautiful, it had a lot to offer. They had plans underway to create a ceremony space in the vineyards which we loved! This creating many different photo spots. They do all the catering creating a menu tailored to your taste! The staff are extremely organised and they even had someone in charge of playing our playlists! Honestly they made our special day run so smooth we never had to worry they had everything covered! 

2/ What was your favorite part of the day?

When your dream wedding literally comes to life, it is impossible to pick a favourite part! But there is one part of the day that we both loved, this was taking our wedding party photos. We chose to do this before the ceremony to give us more time with our guests afterwards. We arrived at our venue and spent a couple hours laughing and really enjoying that time with some special people. It also helped us to slow down, take a breath from getting ready and enjoy the very last moments before becoming husband and wife! 

3/ What was the easiest part of one of your vendors, building up to and on the actual day too?

Honestly all of our vendors were incredible! So other than the amazing Tracey of course, I would have to pick our DJ Eric Moore. Eric’s communication was clear and simple! He knew the venue owners which made it even easier to organise set up etc. Eric had brought all his own gear which included wicked lights. Right as he was about to arrive and announce us in with our entrance song we decided to change the song. Eric didn’t even roll his eyes!! He found the song and happily sorted the change! He was incredible at setting the vibe and mixing different genres of music which resulted in all our guests dancing the night away and still to this day speaking highly of our DJ! 

4/ Where did you guys meet and how long have you been together (how he proposed etc, anything like that would be great).

We met at our small town high school, had the same friend group and become best friends pretty quickly. We both knew there was a spark, fast forward 10 years and were married! When we started talking about getting married we went to look at rings as we thought it would be special to design one together. Once the ring was ready he picked it up and planned a weekend away. Sadly due to a sports injury I couldn’t make the trip. At the same time he was working away and decided to come home one weekend. I walked in the door to our home one Friday afternoon and there he was in our living room of the house we built together with the ring! 

5/ What advice would you give to people planning their wedding. My advice would be to take note of these three key things:

1. Be well organised. You need to book vendors well in advance to secure who you want (I’m talking 18 months in advance!), write a list early on. 2. Take photos before your Ceremony! You’ll be on such a high after the ceremony the last thing you want to do is take photos for hours so, after the family photos are done and dusted, grab a drink, a nibble of your canapés and go speak to some of your guests! We did this and felt even more love hearing what our guests had to say about the ceremony. And 3. Have a ‘Day after Drinks’ This was the perfect way to see family we didn’t get to speak to. It also gave our families more time to meet and for us all to continue celebrating!
